But, as soon as you turn to the right, any illusion of Safeway normalcy goes away. The front right corner is home to the bakery and deli, with this store having a version of the Blue and Grey Market layout (though the raised ceiling over the front end is a 70s/80s thing, so I'm not really sure when it got its current layout... this store has been through a lot of changes over the years, it would appear!). I'm guessing the awkward columns on the left side of the department are a leftover from one of this store's expansions.
