From this angle the checkout lines do look pretty long, but that's just because people were actually following the 6' social distancing marks! I'm guessing that's what the printed signs on the checkouts were about, but the black text on a red background is completely illegible in these pictures. Trader Joe's tiny, closely-spaced checkout counters must have been difficult to manage in COVID times.
