The promotional posters along the edge of the produce section must be original to the store, since they're so extremely 90s, or maybe even late 80s! I'm guessing this whole area was originally home to bulk foods, since having bottled water in the produce department seems a bit weird. Those Glacier water machines in the bottled water section are a classic Safeway thing, though my local Safeways don't have them any longer. (I can't imagine things like that being very popular around here since we have such good tap water.)
