No more shoes

I was surprised to find the shoe department completely walled off. Just like with kitchen/housewares, it seemed that they had completely given up on selling shoes at this point, unless a tiny shoe section was hiding somewhere else in the store. And with how thin the clothing section looked, I don't think there was anywhere for it to hide. 

I hadn't noticed until pulling up this picture to compare that the old department signs disappeared sometime in 2023. It seems like there was some real effort put into fixing up this store (more that had been done in years), but I doubt anyone noticed since the lack of merchandise and resulting blocked-off areas were much more visible changes!
