Another look at the Sears court

Simply turning around gives everything a completely different feel. This view also shows one of the mysteries of this mall -- what's up with the tiled areas outside of the upper-level railing? They look like fountains that were just turned off and left to sit, except there's no visible plumbing. Planters would make more sense, especially since this mall used to have a lot of plants (including in the weird bench-like things up in the ceiling -- I have no idea how those got maintained!), but I don't know why they would have installed tile in them like that.
