The Albertsons influence is clear here too -- obviously the "Butcher Block" name came from that side of the merger, and they also used Albertsons-style cases for the service counter itself. These look so much more old-fashioned than the ones Safeway typically used, and for all I know they could actually be old and have come out of one of the many Albertsons that closed around the time this store was remodeled. Moving beyond that, I quite like the navy blue wall tile they used here -- it's much nicer than the plain white tile Modern normally comes with.
