Oddly, that's where the remodel banners end. Instead, we're greeted by COVID warnings inside the store. Yay, 2020. It's weird looking back at these pictures, especially thinking of all the people who want to drag us back to those days.
Huh, I can't say I remember grocery store employees wearing football uniforms to work, but I suppose that is the case here! Granted, perhaps Seattle has some Seahawks mania right now and maybe such things are encouraged...if you can even find employees walking around at a 2026-era Seattle Safeway!
It looks like Blogger is in the mood to reject comments from Firefox again. Grr.
It's very common at our Safeways during football season, especially on game days. Safeway obviously has a marketing agreement with the Seahawks (they run a lot of Seahawks-themed promotions and most of their larger stores sell Seahawks merchandise), so I'm assuming the jerseys are part of that. And considering how many employees wear them, I'm guessing they're able to get them for a discount.
