Normally I'll make a loop of the main floor, but this time I must have been extra uninterested in clothing since I apparently headed straight for the exit. I was going to poke fun at Sears for having knockoff Kitchenaids on sale for over $300, but apparently that's a reasonable price these days (though it was probably a little high three years ago); I got mine as a hand-me-down from my parents (who had broken it) and got it fixed for around $100, which at the time wasn't that much cheaper than buying a lower-end new one.

I think those Kenmore stand mixers were considered to be quite good at one time! There probably was a time when getting a Kenmore wasn't much of a reputational downgrade from getting a KitchenAid, but that time had probably long passed by the time this photo was taken.
ReplyDeleteYeah, pretty much all Sears brands were well regarded in the past, but by the 2020s, not so much!
