There's nothing too notable at the deli, except for the modern square cases being used in the salad section -- I seem to have totally missed these at the time since I thought the first time I saw them was in California three years later! Around here, they've become the standard for new-built stores, but I haven't seen them in remodeled Safeways (converted Albertsons, maybe). It's also surprising to see a Safeway with a salad bar -- I wonder if it survived COVID.
