Three of seven

While this store seemed to have plenty of employees hanging around, the checkout situation was about what you would expect for a chain store in the 2020s -- only 3 of the 7 regular checkouts were open despite long lines, and not even all of the self-checkouts were open. When this store opened in 2002, it had 18 regular checkouts, more than twice what it closed with (and no self checkouts, which is a little surprising since Fred Meyer was an early adopter of U-Scan machines).
