Finally, it's time for the last Southcenter set of 2021. On a typically dark and rainy December weekend, I decided I'd see how Sears was doing on probably one of the busiest days for shopping of the year, just in time for people to do their last-minute christmas shopping. And wow, the mall itself was a heck of a lot busier than I would expect, calling back to the old days when malls were so popular that they created their own traffic jams! The scene here, with people creating their own multi-lane turns and blocking the intersection from all directions, looks more like South Lake Union in the afternoon peak than anything I'd expect from a mall in this day and age!
