It's not super easy to see in the picture, but the sign below Safeway's still holds an old Tully's Coffee sign, just flipped around backwards. (I wonder if it still lights up at night, since if so, it would probably be very easy to see!) This is a real oddity, since I'm not aware of any other Safeways around here with non-Starbucks coffee kiosks (unlike Kroger, which did formerly use a variety of brands, including Tully's, Seattle's Best, and Peet's), and it's surprising that they would have put a coffee kiosk of any sort in a 25,000-square-foot vintage store. It appears that this store's kiosk went down with the rest of the Tully's chain in the late 2010s and was never replaced, making this one of the first Safeways around here to ever lose its coffee kiosk. (A few more have closed in recent years, including in my local Safeway.)
