Hmm

And of course the men's department has sports stuff, so we get to see what Sears thinks is local to Seattle. They get a point for having UW merchandise (even if it looks super cheap and is in perhaps the worst rendition of their gold color I've ever seen), and while I normally complain about Seattle stores stocking Cougars stuff, it's possible that this was the closest Sears to WSU at the time (depending on the exact timing of the closing, reopening, and re-closing of the Union Gap store). But Dallas Cowboys? That's just bizarre. No wonder they were selling this stuff for 80% off!

It seems like Sears stores nationwide, even in the early 2010s all the way past bankruptcy, were overstocked with Dallas Cowboys gear. They probably are the most popular team nationally, maybe aside from whatever team has won the Super Bowl last (which hasn't been the Cowboys in a very long time, thankfully, lol), so there is that, but I'm guessing the number of Cowboys fans in Seattle can't be all that high. Who knows though!

What is strange is that the Dallas Cowboys shirt on the right has a black helmet on the shirt! I don't think the Cowboys have ever worn black helmets! That's strange.

That Washington State shirt must be from the women's department! I suppose Sears had to make a sports team department out of what they had even if it didn't really make sense. Anyway, I suspect there are probably a lot of Washington State graduates in the Seattle area. They certainly can't all be working in Pullman!

    1. I figured the black helmet was just whoever Sears bought these from being too cheap to print the entire helmet! I suppose selling Cowboys stuff at all of their stores could be a cheap thing too.
