Back to the food court for a minute -- most of the (remaining) tenants there are local Asian restaurants, with TacoTime looking rather out of place in the middle. I didn't realize TacoTime was in Canada! That whole chain is a bit confusing, with most Washington locations (which are the ones I'm familiar with) being separately owned and run, with a slightly different logo to the main chain. I have to say, the food court is probably the least nice part of the mall architecturally, despite it being the busiest -- the flooring is nice, but the low industrial ceiling and general dark atmosphere make it a bit blah. A nicer ceiling and better lighting would have gone a long way.

The TacoTime I ate at when I went to Vancouver Mall in 2023 was actually this version of TacoTime, not the version of TacoTime near you. Even the Washington TacoTimes can be confusing, but then maybe Vancouver is only kinda, sorta Washington given that they're in Safeway's Portland division too, lol.

This TacoTime looks a bit fancier than the Vancouver Mall one. I must say the food was rather dull and overpriced at the Vancouver Mall TacoTime. It wasn't even up to Taco Bell's standards, which maybe says a lot, lol. And, yes, I did eat at a Taco Bell in Portland in 2023 and it was about the same as it is here, but they didn't have the order kiosks we have here. The local Taco Bell here now has a computerized voice ordering system at the drive-thru which is quite annoying as it asks too many questions and is slower than a human at taking orders. Oh well, I don't go there often.

    1. It has been an extremely long time since I've eaten at either Taco Bell or TacoTime, so I can't really say much about either of them! I do like TacoTime's giant cactus signs, though 🙂
