Stripped down

And speaking of emptiness, the checkout counter by the main entrance had been completely stripped of electronic equipment at some point. I have no idea why they would have decided to close this one, since it's next to the busiest entrance (apart from possibly the mall entrance, but there was no checkout desk over there) and also right next to the jewelry department, which you'd think Sears would want to have employees watching over (since the jewelry counter itself wasn't staffed any longer). The only remaining checkout on the ground floor was the one buried in the men's department in a back corner of the store, nowhere near any of the entrances.
