One thing that I don't really think comes through in these pictures is just how dark this corridor feels in real life. Part of that is the dark ceiling, part of that is the dark and empty storefronts (though it looks like there's a little bit of natural light trying to come through the grate on the right), but I think most of it is just the contrast to the bright and sunny main corridor. I'm guessing the darkness was an intentional thing to make this area feel higher-end than the more brightly lit sections of the mall (the same sort of thinking that brought us Lifestyle's famously dim lighting), though I suppose the atmosphere would be a lot different if the stores along the hallway were actually open.
