Stale bread

The weirdness just continues with the bread display (which is actually in the deli for some reason). The "Artisan Bread" sign is from the early days of Lifestyle, so how it ended up in this Albertsons is beyond me. It's probably from around the same point in time as the rest of the decor, just from the wrong chain!

Huh, the Artisan Bread sign might be a strange Lifestyle element used in this store, but the department wall signage looks like it was stolen from the Pavilions version of Lifestyle decor! Of course, the title/subtitle thing is more of an Albertsons thing, along with Lifestyle v3. In this case, the main title of Fresh Bakery and the subtitle of Fresh Baked seems a bit redundant!

It is more visible in the other photo, but it is a bit strange that the background of the deli sign uses a triangular design (somewhat similar to the Lifestyle v2 arch design) and the bakery uses a rectangular background. The rectangular one looks a bit less Lifestyle-like, but still, the overall scene does look a lot like the Pavilions Lifestyle design.

    1. It kind of does! I was also thinking that the dark brown stripe with wood trim and accents reminded me a lot of the similar stripe (with diamond accents) used in Proto-Lifestyle.

  2. Do you think the fixture could've been brought here later on?

    1. Definitely, I just don't know why they would have moved such an outdated fixture to another store!
