Back to the mall

Historically, the section of the mall between Macy's and Seafood City was basically just a blank wall, which is something that's normal for most malls but a bit out of place at Southcenter, which has exterior tenants (or at least signage for interior tenants) along most of its perimeter. When I visited here in 2021, Westfield was just starting on a project to add a few more restaurants with exterior entrances along this side, which has since been completed, making this area a bit more interesting. And while the restaurants on the south side of the mall are mostly generic chains, all three of the new spaces here have been taken up by local or small-chain Asian restaurants, which is also nice to see.
