Since this was never intended to be the main entrance to JCPenney, it doesn't have a proper sign band built into the awning structure like on the front; instead, it just has a comically small sign stuck on the lower trim (and I'm guessing originally there wasn't even that, since it's obvious that they had to fill in around the raised parts of the trim to make the sign fit).
I hope that black BMW wasn't following me on purpose... being followed by black SUVs is never a good sign! 😉
