Even all the way down at this side of the mall, T&T gets a spot on the mall's sign. I hope both T&T and Factoria as a whole will see long-term success, maybe even enough to get the mall's owner to stop talking about tearing down parts of the building. The current political environment does make me a little worried about things -- the title is a reference to the "Canadian invasion" that often happens when Toronto plays the Mariners, but which didn't happen last week due to Canadians not wanting to visit the US any longer due in large part to the trade war. (Similarly, my parents recently visited Point Roberts to see my grandparents, and they said that there weren't a lot of people crossing the border, but the border guards on both sides were much more hostile and thorough than normal.) That trade war isn't going to do good things for T&T either, which imports basically everything they sell from Asia (or Canada where their supply chain is already established). It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few years, both with this store and their major plans for US expansion.
On that note, that's it for this set! Back to Southcenter tomorrow.
