The much longer recess for the meat part of the department doesn't have as much visual impact as the smaller seafood one, but it's still pretty cool. I'm surprised Safeway didn't upgrade the meat cases during the remodel, since the brown, squared-off design these have (with a strange self-service shelf below) look quite old-fashioned compared to everything else in this store.
