And we thought Walmart's cardboard decor was cheap

Thankfully, most of this store does still have carpet instead of bare concrete floors, with those reserved for a few "special" departments like the Levi's section we just saw. Perhaps the 60-year-old concrete slabs were too ugly even for JCPenney. But the whole store still feels incredibly cheap, thanks to the cardboard signage and lack of any sort of design flair throughout pretty much the entire store. At least when Walmart uses cardboard decor, they tend to have a lot of it and a much more colorful style, which makes it look marginally better than this.

Ha, the decor might be boring here, but that jacket on the mannequin on the right! Yikes! Sometimes boring isn't a bad thing! At least that's the case with jackets! It is hard to even focus on the cheap, boring decor with something as loud as that!
