Local and meh


 I'm sorry for all the negativity today -- it seems like Safeway decided to put all of their bad ideas in this one part of the store! While I do love this decor, the "local and loved" sign just makes Safeway seem desperate to regain the popularity they lost (burned) following the Albertsons merger, without actually doing anything to address the reasons for losing popularity. I don't think Safeway has gotten to the point where they're actively disliked by most people around here, but they're getting close to the tipping point and not making any serious moves to change course.
