There was a rendering of the new store propped up along the front end as a promise of this store's return. It's too bad I didn't get a similar comparison image when I visited the new store, but I'm not sure if that would even be possible -- I think the buildings across the street would prevent you from getting far enough from the building for such a wide shot. (Plus, parked cars would probably block most of the Safeway facade from that angle.)
