It's weird seeing the deli right next to produce (something the new and old stores have in common), but other than that, the deli here was pretty much the same as you'd find in any Lifestyle Safeway. I'm guessing it was expanded quite a bit in either in the 90s remodel or the Lifestyle remodel -- it's really only the smallest stores that didn't get standard delis then. I don't really understand why a large deli was the priority rather than having both a deli and a bakery, like other chains often did. But that's beside the point.
