The variety of stuff that London Drugs sells always impresses me -- I know we used to have drugstores like this in the US, but Payless/Pay n Save was before my time, and Fred's (probably the last example of this sort of thing on a major chain level) never had stores anywhere I ever was. The lack of any sort of decor around here makes me suspect that this was mostly home to more electronics back in the day, with the signage being removed when that part of their business started declining; the opening on the right may once have led to the computer showroom (something that some London Drugs stores still have signage for), but I'm not sure about that since they were normally closer to the electronics service desks.
Wasn't expecting a Fred's/London Drugs comparison, lol! But I can see it.
ReplyDeleteI know it's not a perfect comparison, but I feel like it's the closest thing the US has had in recent years!
