Bridges and openings

Thankfully, it doesn't take long to get back to the regular stores. Southcenter isn't a particularly high-end mall, and that's part of why I like it so much compared to places like Bellevue Square. I really like the architecture in this shot too, with all of the different upper-level structures in view. I just wish you could go more than a few feet without running into another cell phone kiosk!

Huh, I've certainly heard of Victoria's Secret, but Victoria's Antojos Locos is something entirely new to me! We have a local fast food type place called Antojos Locos in Houston, but I don't even know if that place in the mall sells food like this place does: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kr4nQduVMpkKrKeG9

I suppose Southcenter is one of those in-between type malls, one where a Swarovski is coming soon in one photo, and then there are oddball local businesses in other photos. I suppose it is hard for a large mall to only have grade-A named retailers these days outside of a few very strong malls. Granted, sometimes those local stores have more interesting stuff than the big name stores, though I can't think of too many instances around here where I've seen local businesses selling anything of great use at malls. Maybe vintage video games or something like that, but that isn't even of great interest to me.

    1. All of the local businesses are what make Southcenter special, and probably a big part of why it's so successful by bringing in shoppers who wouldn't have much interest in boring generic chain stores. Regardless, I don't think there are even enough mall chains left to fill a mall of this size with only chain stores, unless you want even more repetitive cell phone shops!
