I suppose the blank walls are balanced by the oversupply of products on display -- but really, this just looks like a mess. Walmart didn't even install the cheap decor correctly -- the poster hangers have two rods so the posters can be layered, but they just installed everything on the front rod.
As I said yesterday, I've only ever been to one Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market so I'm not even entirely sure what all they sell. Given the mix of items we see in this photo, this looks a bit like a scene from Fred Meyer than a 'Walmart supermarket'. While regular Kroger stores sell a lot of this stuff, there are clearly some items which a supermarket would not typically sell. I wonder how much of this stuff is bought at Neighborhood Markets especially in areas like around here where Walmart Supercenters are plentiful. Granted, dull decor and bad organization aside, this looks like a more pleasant place to shop than a Supercenter...which will often have the same problems anyway.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this does have a bit of a Fred Meyer look to it, especially with the products piled high above the wall shelving!
