The frozen aisles are towards the front of the store, and include a combination of surprisingly modern upright cases (with the thick plastic handles that were popular in the 2000s and 2010s) and a handful of small, old-fashioned coffin cases running down the middle of the aisle. These aisles line up with the produce department in the background. Even with the central cut-through actionway, the aisles are quite long!
Huh, it is a bit strange to see coffin coolers sitting in between upright cases like that! I suppose this would only work at stores with a wide enough frozen food aisle, which would eliminate most possibilities around here, but it is a pretty neat concept! I'm more used to the other way around in years past where frozen food aisles had mainly coffin coolers with some upright cases, or open upright cases, lining the coffin coolers.
ReplyDeleteYep, this is just as weird as pretty much everything else about this store! I've seen plenty of stores with a full row of coffin cases in the middle (think Winn-Dixie, or that retro Save Mart), but these little coffin cases are just weird.
