A lot of these pictures didn't turn out as well as they should have with my new camera since I was having to be stealthy, but they're better than no photos. A recurring theme around this store is these little islands, with small bits of drop ceiling holding a frame that the neon signs are mounted to -- not a design I've seen elsewhere, at least not to this extent! Even if you don't love this store as much as I do, you have to appreciate that there are still companies out there doing new and different things, not just the same concepts over and over like the big US chains have been doing.
Huh, those dome-type lights over the flowers remind me of the dome lights that Kroger used at their Bauhaus stores! Photos of those Kroger lights are a bit hard to find these days, but here's an example of some in an old Greenhouse Kroger repurposed as a discount grocery store. These lights were repainted somewhere along the way, but are otherwise likely original: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gmLAxW9zY6fkYWSZA
ReplyDeleteYeah, there are a lot of retro things going on in this decor! That's part of why I like it so much.
