The main actionway

The end of the dairy section loops back around into the main actionway, again completely normal for Walmart. What's a bit less normal is that the actionway doesn't lead directly to the front entrance, instead dead-ending at the floral section -- Walmart kept Kmart's entrances in the same locations (obviously), but didn't really make any changes to the interior floor plan to match.

  1. I go to Walmart very infrequently these days so maybe our Walmarts are like this too and I judon't remember it, but that seems like an excessive number of American flags! Of course, most chain supermarkets won't have any flags like that in the store.

Usually with open ceiling Walmart Supercenters, I'm used to seeing skylights, but I'm guessing that just wasn't a realistic option with a reused building.

    1. Ugh, yes, a lot of Walmarts are like this, and I'd be surprised if Texas ones were any different! Though I wouldn't be surprised if they featured the Texas flag in addition to/instead of this.

Skylights are common in new-build Supercenters, but Walmart doesn't typically bother to install them in converted stores. Even stores that were expanded into Supercenters normally only have skylights in the newer expansion section.
