This was a pretty busy day for Southcenter, but it looks like almost everyone was turning left at the top of the escalators, skipping the Sears area. Luckily, Sears isn't off on its own wing, with just a short corridor connecting it to the rest of the mall on the second floor (and being right off the main figure-8 loop on the first floor), limiting the damage its lack of foot traffic can do to the mall as a whole. The new portion of the mall has wider, less straight corridors than the original portion, accommodating openings to the level below (similar to any typical 2-story mall).
