The "front" "actionway" isn't really any wider, though -- this whole building is a bit cramped. I wonder how much longer that frozen foods sign has before it slides all the way off the pole -- seems like a sign it's time for a remodel at this store!
Normally I would not advocate for a Safeway umbrella store to remodel from Lifestyle v2, unless it is to Colorful Lifestyle v2 perhaps, but Lifestyle v2 seems like quite an odd fit at this location. Some of the cheapness with the floors here would maybe fit the Modern profile more than Lifestyle! That said, I do think Colorful Lifestyle v2 might brighten the place up a bit which might be necessary with the drab concrete floors. Really, they ought to just put flooring cover on the floors!
I'm one of the biggest fans of Lifestyle v2 anywhere (from what I've gathered, most people hate it!), but even I have to admit that most of the stores that still have it are starting to get rather run-down, largely due to Safeway's lack of maintenance in recent years (meaning that remodels are often the only time that stores get fixed up). Colorful Lifestyle v2 is definitely a good middle ground that I wish more Lifestyle v2 stores got.
