Medicating and self-medicating

This is another one of those stores where the pharmacy and liquor sections are together, something I always find amusing! The chocolate right in the middle is my preferred form of self-medication. 😉 The flooring in this part of the store looks pretty awful -- I don't know if the concrete on the left is actually part of the ≈100-year-old original building, but it's definitely different from the flooring in the new part of the store, and even that is rather patchy and cracked around here.

Ugh, it is a shame that this nice looking part of the store is let down by really bad looking concrete! It does look like that concrete on the left is older than the other concrete, but I think it would have looked pretty bad even with the newer concrete. The pharmacy is one area which looks quite upscale in Lifestyle and so it looks quite strange seeing it with concrete floors! Earthtones, plush waiting room chairs, and concrete are a strange mix!

While liquor and medication are a bit of a strange mix, medication and raw meat is also a bit of a strange mix, at least it would be to most people around here, and that is the common experience at Safeway stores in your area! My local Randall's mixes the HBA aisles with the dairy/juice case so that is a bit strange as well, lol.

    1. Lifestyle with concrete floors is weird in general! I'm used to seeing it with open ceilings (even though Lifestyle-built stores almost always had drop ceilings), but this is one of the only times I've seen it with concrete floors. If this store wasn't so unusual in so many other ways, I would have probably talked about that a lot more!
