Along with the office block (which I believe is above the lowered ceiling on the right side of the picture), this corner is also home to the huge bakery section. For some reason, this department got much fancier flooring than any other part of the store -- it's still just vinyl (the pictures kind of make it look like terrazzo), but it's nice decorative vinyl rather than plain white.
