So far, the interior on the main floor has been rather bland to say the least. That all changes when you get to the atrium in the center of the store! I wish this space was a lot larger, and it's just calling out for some glass elevators to run on either side of the wooden clock panel, but it's still pretty neat as it is. This is another space with a strong 90s vibe (like the bizarre basement), and this is the only one of the three Bon Marche stores of this design to have an atrium, so I'm guessing this isn't an additional feature (which would explain its limitations, as well as the escalators being in their own sad walled-off corridor rather than on full display here as they should be), but it's still pretty neat and gives this store an interior architectural feature, something that so many department stores of its era lack.
Very cool!
