Just like we saw in Tacoma, the Southcenter store has an abandoned patio area to the left of the main store that would once have been part of the in-store restaurant. This one is extremely overgrown and honestly just a bit of an eyesore in general, with its decrepit look reflecting poorly on the store as a whole. I know I said Macy's seems to be investing more in this store than in their other nearby locations, but that apparently doesn't extend to the exterior. Macy's is just going to be Macy's, I guess.
This looks more like a sight from a building that's been totally abandoned for a few years than one that's still an active department store!
ReplyDeleteIt really does! And it's not even a struggling department store at a dead mall -- this is the largest store in one of the top malls in the region! It's wild to see this, and it makes me worry for Macy's in general that they're neglecting such basic maintenance at even their better stores.
