Back under the portico, you can start to see the subject of the last little bit of this series -- the Decathlon store across the street. In the foreground, I was surprised to see no one parked in the EV charging spaces -- not that I was surprised no one was using the charger (electric cars don't seem to be as popular as I would have expected in Italy); the surprise is that no one was illegally parked here! Unlike any public charging station I've ever seen in the US, this one just provides a socket that you have to plug your own cable into -- I wonder if the vandalism problem was really that bad (but I doubt it since even the other stations in Italy, including the one at the other end of the store that someone was actually using, do come with built-in cables).
