Home spot

That isn't the only light monitor here, and the other one seems to make it even clearer that this building wasn't designed to be a Superstore -- the back wall of the salesfloor sits just a few feet (meters?) from the clerestory. That makes this area look rather odd, especially since the wall doesn't go all the way to the extra-tall ceiling (which is even taller than in the other clerestory area, with a double row of windows). All the extra light illuminated some wrinkles in the home circle, which is also odd -- could these signs be stretched canvas/fabric rather than the typical cardboard or foam? I'm not really sure.

It's interesting to see President's Choice small electrics on display here -- Walmart is the only US company I can think of that has store-brand appliances (since Kenmore is no longer a store brand), and they're obviously a much bigger company than Loblaw. I know I keep comparing them to Kroger, but it's like having Fred Meyer-brand waffle makers!

I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing that not only are the Presidents Choice appliances a store brand, but that the Everyday Essentials appliances in the green boxes are also Loblaw house brand products. I can't say for sure though!

I think house brand small appliances are more common that you might think. I'm pretty sure the 'Cooks' brand at JCPenney is a house brand and Best Buy has all kinds of house brands these days. I think Kohl's uses the Food Network brand as a house brand, but I can't say for sure. It's the only place I've seen that stuff.

I know that Home Depot had some house brand microwave ovens the last time I looked. I hope I don't need to buy another microwave anytime soon because it was very, very difficult to find a mid-sized or larger countertop microwave with at least 1100w of power in white when I had to buy one in 2022. Fortunately, Lowe's had a GE model and it was carried in the store. Otherwise, the other options were extremely few even online!

    1. Probably -- it's less obvious, though. I guess the actual rare thing is obvious/well-known store brands being used on appliances, rather than the "hidden" store brands a lot of stores apparently use!
