When I ate here previously, I remember sitting at that red counter in the background. My memory is pretty bad, but I'm pretty sure there were a lot more chairs at the counter back then, and a lot fewer tables out on the floor -- I certainly don't remember the restaurant taking up quite so much of the salesfloor. My memory of Eataly was a grocery store with some restaurants mixed in; what I found on this trip was a collection of restaurants (and upscale service departments that feel like restaurants) with some groceries mixed in, and I'm not completely sure how much of the difference is down to Eataly actually changing versus my memories simply being inaccurate.
