Time for a close-up

Even up close, you can hardly see into this store any longer -- all the windows show is the apartment buildings across the street! One downside to the new paint scheme is that the black sign doesn't pop against the dark grey background; this lack of contrast has long been a problem with Safeway's current logo, though in recent years they've sometimes used white lettering on dark backgrounds, which is what they probably should have done here. (The sign is probably original to the Lifestyle v2 remodel, though.)
