In the shade

I'm glad that the trees provided enough shade for me to get at least one good quality photo of the mural, since it is a really nice piece of art. This mural was a community project, not a Safeway corporate one like the "art" they've installed in some of their newer stores, and it really shows -- so much of the stuff Safeway (and the other chains, like Kroger and Walmart, that are installing local murals in some of their stores) has installed is just empty and soulless. I hope the plaza area in front of it keeps getting upgraded as time goes on.
