The side of the pharmacy box, where the back actionway splits off in different directions, is home to a very elaborate display featuring smoked seafood. I'd never seen anything like this in a general-purpose grocery store before, but at least one other recently-remodeled Haggen has the exact same display! Some of the products appear to be local, while others (the ones right in the center of the refrigerated case) are just Safeway's long-running Waterfront Bistro brand.
I know smoked salmon is pretty popular around here, but to me it's just a way to make something I already don't like even less appetizing...
