Everything in this view is classy except the products -- apparently this is where Haggen puts the trashier drinks, at least if the bright colors and buckets are anything to go by! Then again, I'm not a drinker, so all alcoholic beverages seem a bit trashy to me. About the only thing in this view that I would drink (apart from the giant jugs of water that you can barely see poking through from the frozen aisle, but I generally avoid bottled water) is the milk in the far distance!
Ha, I can't tell for sure what all of those items are, but at least some of them might be local craft beers. At least around here, many of them seem to use bright cans and packaging. I suppose those beers don't have the advertising budgets that the big national brands do so maybe they try to grab attention with flashy colors. I'm not sure, I don't drink alcohol often so I'm not too up on these things, but I know I've seen some strange colors on local craft beers around here.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get trashier than a bottle of Fireball, but you took that to a whole new level with those buckets! In case you ever wondered, Fireball is what many of the high school kids would bring to their field parties in Georgia. I've never had Fireball, but I've had a sip of similar "whiskey" and just picture drinking some of the cheapest alcohol you can find that tastes like a cinnamon Red Hot candy to try and mask the taste.
ReplyDeleteAs for in the refrigerated cases, those look like cases of local craft beer & cider before you get to the trendy seltzers like White Claw.
Yeah, this definitely seems like the type of thing you'd see at a frat party or something! Perhaps I'm stereotyping with that comment, but I just don't see the appeal.
