It's time to head back outside (thankful that the manager giving me the stink-eye in the previous picture didn't decide to say anything!), but that doesn't mean this set is over, since this store, like most proper Haggens, has plenty of interesting stuff to look at outdoors too. Considering that I visited this store in October, I'm surprised by how much product Haggen was still displaying out on the sidewalk!

I still find it rather amazing how much stuff Haggen keeps outside. Pumpkins and plants are not unusual to see stored outside the store entrance here, but that is about it. Well, maybe watermelons and other larger things like that at stores which have larger outdoor entrances like the bigger HEBs.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how many of the cars in the parking lot are white, black, or grey! It makes a depressing rainy NW scene look all that more depressing! Thankfully the wood and the items stored outside are adding some color to the scene. Also, fortunately, the tile scar on the inside is not present outside!
A lot of grocery stores around here do this, at least in the spring and summer. Safeway will often have big displays of produce and flowers/plants outside (though my local store doesn't have any space for that).
DeleteHonestly, this scene isn't all that bad compared to some others when it comes to colorful cars -- there are several red cars, along with a few in that weird army green color that's popular these days. But there sure are a lot of boring cars!
