Unsurprisingly, this store has Safeway's new ultramodern (and ultra-flimsy!) doors on its milk case -- this time with the proper modern handles, rather than
the weird old-fashioned ones that the newer U District store got. These doors really do look quite nice... I just wish they were equally nice when it comes to functionality.
Ah, man, what a disappointment it is to go from the Yoke's yesterday to this industrial mess, lol. Just about everything here looks terrible. If it wasn't for the fake wood and uplighting, this would look exactly like a Sam's Club or Costco except that the prices are much higher, lol. Also, the inventory was much better at the Yoke's!
ReplyDeleteThis building would likely look bad in any decor package, but I do think Lifestyle v2/Colorful Lifestyle v2 would look a lot nicer than this very plain looking decor package. I know it is a cheap implementation of Modern so maybe this isn't Modern's best look, but still. This most certainly does not have any of the class I typically associate with Safeway or Albertsons even.
