Up in front of the frozen section is the health and beauty department, which is in what would probably have been the pet department (and the front of the frozen aisles) in the Grocery Palace days. This area is a bit of a hodgepodge, with beach supplies and a miniature Claire's department (??) thrown in with the medical supplies! It's also disconnected from the one health and beauty aisle in the main part of the store, two aisles away. This may be less weird than the original Grocery Palace layout, but it's still weird!
(The title is a reference to a hair salon in Port Angeles, but I imagine it's generic enough to have been used for all sorts of other things by now!)
Seems very Kroger-esque to me, haha! And I like the title, too.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't completely surprise me -- these later Albertsons stores are a similar (extra large) size to typical grocery stores in your area! California's grocery stores tend to skew larger than ones in the northwest, unsurprisingly.
DeleteAnd thanks!
