Welcome to the South San Clemente Albertsons!

This store opened in 1993 as a Lucky (hat-tip to the SoCal Supermarket Blogger on Flickr for the history!) before being converted to the Albertsons brand after their acquisition of American Stores. This is one of two Albertsons stores in San Clemente -- or, well, it was at the time of my visit; the other one, which will be covered in the second half of this set, is apparently converting to Pavilions, but until very recently, both of them were united by a unique decor package that, as far as I've been able to tell, only ever existed in San Clemente.
