And welcome to the second half of this combo set! This store was built in 2002, making it an original Albertsons rather than a Lucky conversion, and lasted until just a couple months ago (sometime in July or August 2023) when it was rebranded as Pavilions, in what is apparently the first Albertsons to Pavilions conversion, and quite possibly California's first Albertsons to be rebranded to any Safeway banner since the merger. It sits just over a mile up the road from the southern San Clemente store, and that duplication may well be part of the reason for the rebrand (it will be interesting to see what happens to that store); I have no idea why Albertsons needed two stores in such a small space, in an area where the population density will always be constrained by the topography and the presence of Camp Pendleton a couple miles to the east, but the fact that both stores have survived until the present day despite Albertsons having closed so many stores over the past couple decades implies that they must both be reasonably successful. (At least in my experience, especially prior to the Safeway merger, Albertsons typically wasn't the type of company to operate multiple stores right next to one another!)
