This view down the back aisle shows the downside of Target's targeted aisle marker placement -- it looks weird just having a few aisle markers down at the end, in the pet department, rather than having them throughout. I'm not sure how I feel about this versus Fred Meyer's complete aisle marker overkill. The circular ? sign for the help center looks like it should be a leftover from an earlier decor package, but they're actually new -- the old ones said "Service Price Scanner" instead.
When I went to a Target back in July, I noticed that they still had a St. Louis Blues 2019 Stanley Cup championship cap in the men's department. It wasn't even on clearance! It looks like this Target has a little better luck moving their sports fan gear, but then again, why are they even selling a St. Louis Blues cap in Houston? I can only recall coming across Blues fans who live here maybe twice!
ReplyDeleteI suppose we've had pretty harsh criticisms of Target here recently, but I am surprised to see that they not only have a price scanner, but that they've updated them recently. Most stores either removed them or they're still there, but they don't work right. I guess that's good that Target still has them. At Walmart, in my limited recent experiences, those price scanners are almost necessary because nothing is out on the right spot on the shelves so it is very hard to tell the prices on items! Maybe Target isn't so bad, I've been in them so infrequently lately that it is hard to tell! We still have a few Krogers around here with price scanners.
Yikes! I wonder if they sent it to the wrong place by mistake and everyone just ignored it.
DeleteYeah, price scanners are nice, though the fancy new ones Target has are trying to do too much at once and can be difficult to use as price scanners! Fred Meyer is one of those chains that has removed them from a lot of stores, which is annoying because their stores tend to be even more poorly organized than Walmart, at least when it comes to the general merchandise department.
